SLAVERY.
PREVALENCE IN EAST AFRICA. MILLION ALLEGEDLY INVOLVED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. LONDON, August 17. Following the decision by the League of Nations to deal with the question of slavery at its next meeting the anti-slavery and aborigines protection society has prepared a memorandum, stating that slavery involving over a million persons is prevalent in Abyssinia and mandated territories in South-West Africa and Tanganyika.
