MR HARDING’S OBSEQUIES.
* A SIMPLE CEREMONY. NO POMP OR PAGEANTRY. Australian and N.Z. ’Cable Assn. WASHINGTON, August 8. The late President’s funeral train has departed for Marion (Ohio), Mr Harding’s birthplace, where it will arrive to-morrow for burial on Friday, with a simple ceremony. The latter will be attended by virtually all the political leaders, including President Coolklge. The body - will lie in state for 24 hours after arrival to permit deceased's fellow-Ohioans to view the remains. In deference to the wish of Mrs Harding the last rites will be most simple, and utterly devod of civil and military pomp. MARION, OHIO, August 9.
Mr Harding’s body arrived shortly after noon. ’ The train was delayed for several hours on account of the dense crowds lining the route. Every bell in the -city toiled -as the procession proceeded from the station to the home of deceased's lather, through lanes of mourners.
