LIGHTER BURNED.

VALUABLE CARGO DESTROYED. United Press Association. Received August 11, 11.30 a.m. SYDNEY, August 11. A lighter laden with nitrate of soda burst into flames at the Sugar Company’s Wharf, Pyrmont, and the cargo, valued at £IOOO, was destroyed. The lighter was burned to the water line and sank.
