A DRAMATIC ESCAPE.

SPANISH SENSATION. NOTABLE PRISONER AT LIBERTY. PRISON WARDERS - HOODWINKED. Australian and N.Z. Oahln Assn. MADRID, August 9. The dramatic escape occurred from San Sebastian or Commandant Alzugaray, who was serving 18 years’ imprisonment at Fort Maria Christina for his share in the Mellilla disaster in 1921. His wife visited Alzugaray in his cell, and later the warder found only the woman there. The husband trad gone. The wife had entered wearing two dresses, and it was Alzugaray who left, disguised in the outer dress, instead of his wife. It is conjectured that the 'Commandant went in the direction -of Cape Tresforras, where a motor-boat awaited him.
