The Minister of Justice (Hon. C. .T. Parr) stated during the discussion of Ibe estimates for Hie Supreme and Magistrate Courts that strong representation had been made to himself and the Attorney-General by the New Zealand Law Society for Ibc appointment of an additional judge. The Cabinet had reviewed the matter, and had decided that the time had arrived when, in the interests of expedition of work, another judg£ should be appointed.
