BACON COMPANY GUARANTEE.

(To the Editor.) Sh\ —I would like to endorse the very .timely letter of Mr Charles Allen in your issue of August 7, and I certainly think with him that the dairy farmers should rise to the occasion and see that justice 5s done to these public-spirited men who are being called on to sacrifice so much. The amount each of us would be called on to pay is so small that I am sure it will hurt no one, especially after such a productive season. We often read in our daily papers of "conscience" money being returned to railway and other public departments, so let us treat this in like manner and do the right thing by these men who give so much of their time and substance •to help along their brother farmers. —■ I am, etc., A. MORGAN, ' Gordonton, Aug. 9, 1923.
