PUBLIC NOTICES. HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL. is hereby given that the Hamilton Borough Council proposes to raise a special loan under the provisions of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913.”. The purpose for which the loan is required is for the purchase, construction, erection and laying of retort beds, gas mains, meters, service pipes, cookers, plant and other additions '.o and extensions of the gasworks of the Borough of Hamilton. The amount proposed to be borrowed is £BOOO. The proposed security is (a) The Hamilton Gasworks and Plant and Revenues thereof after payment of working expenses, subject to the existing charges and securities over the same in respect of a lean of £38.000 and of a loan of £7.009 and of a loan of £5,500, and of a loan of £5,000 with interest and sinking fund for the same respectively and (b) A special rate of one-twelveth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hamilton. It is propose! that the loan should be repayable ij not more than twenty-live years, and to make provision for a sinking fund of not less than two per centum per annum. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of ’raising the loan. It is not proposed to pay out of the loan the interest and sinking fund fo'* the first year.
