The closing day at Goodwood was marked by a popular win by the King's horse, Joss House, in the Chichester Plate. Mumtaz Mahal is now regarded as a wonder horse. She won the Molcomb Stakes in a canter, making her fourth successive victory this season. She started at the extraordinary price of 40 to i. on.
