GOLF.

THE MATAMATA CLUB. An inter-club match was played last Saturday between Walton and Matamata, at Walton, and resulted in the Matamata men winning by one game and the ladies by four games. The players expressed themselves .delighted with the links, and a most enjoyable day was spent. James Watt, the club's coach, arrives In Matamata on July 5, and the members are requested to book lessons with the secretary beforehand. A bogey match will be played at Burwood links next Saturday, players to arrange their partners.
