NORTH AND SOUTH. A RECONCILIATION SOUGHT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ASHBURT.ON, Wednesday. Advocating an annual championship meeting alternately for each Island Mr Tucker, member of the Ashburton Band, which claims to be New Zealand's champion band, said whenever the South Island promoted a contest the North immediately arranged a counter contest, preventing a real championship meeting.
