Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. Received June 28, 11.30 a.m. ROME, Jpne 26A wiolent new eruption ocourred to-day near the summit on the south, side of Etna. The outbreak was plainly visible with the naked eye from Catania. Professor Carrara reports that a new flow of lava is progressing at the rate of more than half-a-mile. If is now feared the observatory will bo overwhelmed.
