WOMAN INJURED WHILE BIRDNESTING.
Miss Harley, of Broadmayne, near Dorchester, met with a serious accident while searohing the high Dorset cliffs near Ringstead for eggs.
She had been lowered to the bottom of the cliff, when a piece of rock, dislodged by the rope, fell on her head rendering her unconscious. She could only be reached by means of a boat, but was eventually rescued and taken to hospital.
Miss Harley, who is 65, is known as One of the most intrepid climbers oh the coast.

Mr Law was at work as usual on his birthday on the land with a pair of horses. In spite of a serious illness last winter, he still prefers the open air to staying In the house. Mrs Jay, who was busy chopping wood and feeding her chickens, will be 101 next month.
