HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—At Hamilton sale on Tuesday a larger entry came forward than was anticipated. Sheep of all classes were well represented, and brought strong competition. The beef consisted mainly of a few pens of fat cows and a great number of unfinished steers, which sold well, with the exception of a.couple of pens of calves. No other cattle were yarded. The following prices were realised: —Heavy fat ewes 30s 3d to 31s 9d, lighter and unfinished 26s 6d; very forward hoggets 22s 6d to 235, smaller hoggets 19s 3d; forward to fat steers (no prime quality)£5 6s" to £6 15s; fat cows £4 to £5 17s 6d, store cows £1 Is to £1 10s; calves 295. Pigs continue to bring good' values under brisk bidding. Heavy baconers made £4 5s to £4 12s, medium weights £3 12s to £4 4s; heavy porkers to light baconers £2 10s to £3 10s, medium porkers £2 5s to £2 9s, light porkers £1 17s to £2 4s, unfinished porkers 23s to 325; weaners 13s 6d. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report:—At Frankton yards on Tuesday, 26th inst., we penned 816 sheep which sold under keen competition. Beef was yarded in more than average supply, and therefore prices were somewhat easier. A small entry of stores was disposed of under a steady demand. We quote: Light fat steers £6 16s to £7; good fat cows £5 7s Cd to £G 15s, rough cows £3 7s 6d to £3 10s; veal calves £2 to £3 ss; store cows £1 7s to £2; Shorthorn heifer calves £1 15s; four-year-old forward steers £5 2s 6d to £5 lis; fat wethers 34s 3d; fat ewes 30s, fat and forward ewes 25s 9d to 26s 3d, fresh ei/pty ewes 20s to 23s Id, f.m. ewes in lamb from East Coast 33s 9d to 355, cull ewes 22s 6d. Pigs.—A good yarding of fat pigs came forward and met with good competition. Few store pips were penned. -Prices realised were: Heavy baconers £3 15s to £4 7s, medium baconers £3 5s to £3 12s-; good porkers £2 10s to £3, medium porkers £2 to £2 ss, unfinished 30s to 37s 6cl; slips 18s to £1 6s; weaners lis Gd to 14s; cows close to farrowing up to £4 10s. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale at Frankton saleyards on Tuesday, 20th June, as under: —There was a good yarding of sheep, which sold at the following prices:—Prime fat ewes, 30s 9d to 345; light-weight fat ewes, 25s 6d to 28s; prime wethers, to 355; store empty ewes, at 23s 6d to 25s 6d; good hoggets made from 19s 9d to 24s 6d; culls, ditto, 13s 6d; sound-mouth ewes, in Jamb to Romncy rams, 33s to 355. There was a moderate yarding of cattle, principally beef. Not many stores penned. Prime bullocks sold at up to £8 16s, or equal to 23s per hundred; iight bullocks, £5 3s to £6 2s 6d; prime heifers made up to £5 12s; prime light-weight cows, £4 2s Gd to £5 17s 6d; store cows, 24s to 38s; forward cows, £2 10s to £3; Jerseycross heifers, £3 14s; dairy cows were not in demand, and not many sold. Pigs were yarded in fair number, and sold under keen competition at very full late rates. Baconers made from £2 17s 6d to £4 7s 6d, or equal to 5Jd per lb; porkers, £2 10s to £3 8s;-. stores and weaners sold at late rates.
