He says he is not surprised at the Commonwealth shipping nol paying as well as anticipated, as both in America and Canada shipping control is attended by losses, and America is gradually reverting to private control.

Nearly 300 tramway employees are being retrenched. It is holievcd that this is due to the reinlroduction of the A 8-hour week and the competition of motor 'buses.
