TWINS OF 90.
Said to be Hie oldest twins in the countrv, Mr Mark Gunn and Mr Matthew Gunn celebrated their 90th birthday at Brighton recently. Mark, who is living with his eldest son, himself 70 years old, at Hanover Street, is still hale and hearty. Matthew, who is a few minutes older than his brother, was also in line physical condition until three months ago, when he had a fall and fractured his thigh. He is still in bright spirits, and hopes soon to be out of the infirmary.
The/ twins are the only surviving members of a family of eleven children of a fishmonger. While the other members of the family went to various parts of the country, the twins carried on their father's business for more than MO years. A Daily Mail reporter, who called on Mark recently, found him bright-eyed and happy, but for his regret that he could not see Matthew. "Although we have been each other's closest friends, we have never once quarrelled," he said. "That proves that brothers can be good friends. We have always considered each other, and when 1 got married Matthew also look a wife. They are both dead now, and, unfortunately, although I had four children, he had none." Matthew: who was ill bed, was equally cheerful. 'lt has always been our aim So keep smiling," he said.
