FIGHTING IN KERRY HILLS.
HEAVIEST SINCE SUMMER. STERN REARGUARD ACTION. I MANY CASUALTIES REPORTED* Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. Received March 9, 12.25 p.m. LONDON, March 8. The heaviest fighting since summer is in progress in the Kerry hills. Four hundred irregulars fought a rearguard action with Free Staters entrenched on the liillside where they were relieved by armoured cars. Received March 8, 12.30 p.m. LONDON, March 8. it is officially reported that the Free Slaters captured the whole column / with arms and equipment in Mayo, also the leaders in Tipperary, including Con. Moloney, who lias been deputychief of the rebels’ staff since the capture of Commandant Deasy.
