IJOTICE is hereby given as-required by Statute that polls on proposals (3) as hereunder-will he taken at the undermentioned polling places upon FRIDAY, 23RD MARCH, 1923, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. The loans proposed are:— £2OOO for river works, to be secured by a special rate over the whole River District. £12,000 for river works, to be secured by a special rate over the central and eastern subdivisions of the River District. £4OOO for drainage works, in and to be secured by a special rate over the ten-foot Special Drainage Area. MAN GAWARA RIVER BOARD. NOTICE-' OF RESOLUTION BY WAY OF SPECIAL ORDER RE LOAN OF £650. WHEREAS by Section 79 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1922, the Mangawara River Board is authorised to raise a Special Loan under the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, without taking the steps described in Sections eight to twelve of that Act for the purpose of repaying to the Minister of Finance an advance of six hundred and fifty pounds (£650) made by him to the said Board to enable it to carry out certain river works, the Mangawara River Board hereby resolves by way of Special Order pursuant to the said authority to borrow the sum of six hundred and fifty pounds (£650) by way of Special Loan to repay that amount to the Minister of Finance. The proposed security for the payment of interest and sinking fund and' other charges on the said loan shall be a special rale on the full rateable capital value of all rateable properly in the Mangawara River District on a graduated scale according to classification shown on the General Classification List of the Board as follows: On lands classified “A” one fourteenth of a penny (l-14th) in the £, on lands classified “B” five ninety-eighths of a penny .(5-98ths) in the £, and such lands - classified “C” three ninety-eighths of a penny in .the £, and such rate shall be an annual recurring rale for a period not exceeding thirty-six' and a half (36i) years. ' The rate of Interest paid on the loan shall not exceed 6% per annum, together with full provision for the necessary charges to provide an adequate sinking fund for the repayment of the principal sum withiii the term of the loan.
