NEW ZEALAND CO-OPERATION.

A scheme by which the New Zealand and Fijian education authorities will co-operate lias been generally approved by the Minister of Education. Mr Hoodless, Superintendent ol' Schools in Fiji, has been in Wellington conferring with the Education Department, and left to-day, six New Zealand teachers returning with him. These are Misses Collins (Wellington), Bruce (Akaroa), Jackson (Auckland), Duric (lluntly), Pirritt (Rotorua), and Bean (Christchurch). Formerly, teachers going to Fiji lost their local benefits unless they returned in twelve months, but under the new scheme the difficulty is removed. The scheme has yet In he affirmed by Ihc Fijian Government, which will have to make the necessary contributions to the superannuation funds.
