LONDON WOOL SALES.

The Department of Agriculture has rcceivecl the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, dated January 24, 1923: —“Wool sales opened yesterday with large attendance, including fair representation from the Continent and America. Competition was good. Compared with closing rates last London series, merino is 5 per cent, line crossbred 5 per cent to 10 per cent, medium crossbred 15 per cent, and coarse crossbred 10 to 15 per cent dearer. Slipe met with good demand and advanced 7$ per cent.
