PERSONAL
The death has occurred in London of Dr. R. H Codrington, a former head of the Melanesian Mission. Rev. P. N. Knight, 8.A., of Pitt Street Methodist Church, Auckland, will be in Hamilton over the weekend, and will assist in the services of St. Paul's Methodist Church anniversary. Rev. F. H. Spencer, late organising secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Society, New Zealand branch, has offered his services, which have been accepted, to the local Prohibition League. The Mayor of Te Aroha, Mr R. Coulter, and Mr E. McGregor, Morrinsvllle, have gone to Wellington to give evidence before the Bills Committee of the House of Representatives in opposing the provisions-of the Thames Harbour Amending Bill.
