* SUDDEN DEATH AT WORK.

AUCKLAND, Tuesday.
One of the oldest employees of Milne and Choyce, Ltd., Miss Alice Mackie, died suddenly at the firm’s premises, Queen Street, yesterday morning. She suffered a seizure soon after entering the building, and expired before medical aid arrived. Miss Mackie, who had charge of one of the millinery workrooms, resided with her mother at . Islington Avenue, Mount Eden.
A FATAL FALL.
ROTORUA, Tuesday,
A Maori, named Tony Johnson, employed in Steele’s Mill, Mamaku, fell forty feet from a bridge in the bush yesterday and died from his injuries soon afterwards. Deceased was middle-aged and married, with no children.
