HORA HORA POWER
LINE TO PENROSE. (By Telegraph. —Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Members of the Auckland Power Board, who have-been in Wellington arranging with the Minister of Public Works for the supply of power from Hora Hora, particularly for the Industrial district about Penrose sub-sta-tion, have reached a definite arrangement. , ~ Mr Holdsworth put his case to the Minister as follows: —“The Board then agrees to take power at standard rates at £lO a kilowatt up to 200 kilowatts, and at £8 a kilowatt for any power ■'above that amount. The Board will only require power from Hora Hora as necessary to relieve the steam Plan* until Arapuni power is available. On behalf of the Board jure are prepared to accept that. I suppose it 'Will receive immediate attention.” ■ The Hon. J. G. Coates: We have got a good deal‘ of material on hand; it is just a question of finding out when we can have the line completed. Mr' Holdsworth: Yes, we want a date, so that we "can be developing the load in preparation. The Minister to put me arrangement into writing, and let the Board know when it is estimated the line will be completed. The discussion indicated mat u would be a matter of 18 months-
