CYCLIST KILLED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. TIMARU, Monday. Mr John Lynch, aged 60, was knocked down bv a motor car on Saturday night and died in the hospital. MiLynch, who leaves a grown-up family, was cycling along the road in the same direction as the car was travelling. •>~~ —— BABY SUFFOCATED. , I TIMARU, Monday. -'. A male child, aged 16 weeks, was found suffocated in its cot on Saturday morning. The child had been fed at 11 o'clock the previous night, and was found with a blanket over its mouth tightly clenched with both hands. The infant was boarded in a licensed home. The finding of the coroner, Mr Mosley, was that death was due to suffocation, no blame beting attachable to anyone.
