Ail unarmed motor launch conveying British artillerymen going to Queenstown to collect Lhe garrison's mail, was tired at from Lhe shore of Cork Harbour. Four of the men were seriously wounded. Ambushes and outrages continue in many parts. The compensation, claims now amount to £8,730,000. In view of a,dethiitc assurance by Mr W. T. Cosgrave that the Dail Eii’eann will meet on September 9, the Labour Parly has withdrawn its threat to resign.
