A WALKING HINT.
When discomfort is caused during a long walk by a shoe that presses tightly on the foot il would be advisable to call at the nearest cottage and ask for some hot water. A handkerchief should then be. soaked in the water and, while it is still hot it should be placed over that part of the shoe which causes the pressure. • After the handkerchief lias been dipped several limes in the lmt wider end applied to the leal her, the din will stretch and the trouble wit] then bo overcome.
