The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner:—
Barometer:
Tuesday 29.40 Wednesday ■.. 29.60 Thermometer: Monday 00 4.2 Tuesday 00 34 Yesterday was unsettled, with high winds from west. Mean temperature, 47 degrees. Barometer unsteady at 29.60. Indications arc similar lo that of yesterday. Weather conditions will continue unsettled to-day, with heavy rain showers, winds becoming brisk, and backing to west by south. Until then there will be no decided improvement in the weather conditions. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications are for westerly winds, strong to gale, and backing by west to south. The weather will probably prove cold and showery. Barometer unsteady, but rising shortly.
