LEAGUE FOOTBALL
THE HAWKE’S BAY VISIT. : SOUTH AUCKLAND TEAM. On Saturday, at Steele Park, the first important League game of the season will be played, when South Auckland and Hawke’s Bay representatives will lake tiie field. A fast game is promised, and if the weather turns out fine, a large crowd is assured to witness the game. The South Auckland team is as follows: — Full Sherlock; three-quar-ters, S. Raynor, J. Hemingway, B. Paki; five-eighths, Wilson-Hall, L. Stewart; half back, T. Peckham; forwards, W. Wilson, J. Bishop, S. Neill, A. Sheeran, F. Raynor, T. Gainford. Reserve: Backs, Jackson and Guthrie; forwards, A. Payne and F. Dent.
