LORD DERBY'S OPTIMISM. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) LONDON, December 15. Lord Derby, interviewed by Le Journal, was optimisitc that M e ßriand and Mr Lloyd George would reach an agreement. The nations had agreed over the Pacific, and there was no reason why a similar result should not be attained in Europe. Germany's disarmament was necessary for the peace of Europe.
