ANOTHER GAMING BILL

REINSTATING TELEGRAMS AND THE DOUBLE TOTALISATOR. IMPORTANT AMENDMENT TABLED. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Hon. E. Milohelson's Gaming Amendment Bill, which proposes to legislate betting telegrams to racecourses, and reinstate the double tetalisator, was introduced in the Council to-day. Hon. M. Cohen gave notice of an amendment limiting the number ot races per day in the winter months to seven. Hon. W. 11. Triggs gave notice or another amendment, permitting newspapers to publish totalisator dividends. This Bill is not likely to get far during the present session, but the Councillors evidently are interested in it.
