WAIPA RACES. BOOMERDAY WINS THE CUP. FINE WEATHER, BIG ATTENDANCE (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) TE AWAMUTU, Tuesday.

The weather is line, and there is a large attendance at tlie Waipa Racing Club's meeting, which is being held here to-day. The course is in good order. Following arc the results: — Pirongia Hurdles, 1* miles. —Snake. 10.3 (Hennie,,) 1, Stirrup Cup 9.0 1, Keystone 10.9 3. Also started: Dead Sweet, Smut, Foxglove, Kaulahoe, Forllet, Holler. Stirrup Cup made the early running, then Snake and Roller took charge, Snake eventually winning by three-quarters of a length from Stirrup Cup, which came on again. Keystone was three lengths awav, and Roller fourth. Time, 2.48. Foxglove was favourite. Smut and Foxglove fell.

Kihikihi Handicap, 6 furlongs.—lnfante 8.12 (Wiggins) 1, Arran 8.0 2, Elsie Aroha 0.7 3. Also started: Ticki, Ruruwai, Shortlahd, Conncmara. Arran led to within a short distance of the post when Infante came through, and won by half-a-length. Elsie Aroha was three lengths away. Time, 1.15 1-5. Ruruwai was favourite.

Waipa Maiden, 5 furlongs.—Golden Dream (L. Manson) 1, Sir Burnett 2, Arizona Maid 2. Scratched: T e Ranga; Glen Lecky, Disappointment, Ihapotoa, Gwcnelle, Royal Babe, Sinelle, Just, and Lord Multifld filly. The winner led all the way, and won by a length and a-half, three lengths between second and third. Royal Fancy and Bonny Doreon (bracketed) were favourite.

Te Awamutu Cup, 1£ miles. — Boomerday 7.0 (Wiggins) 1, Raceful 8.3 2, Royal Abbey 9.0 3. Scratched: Tama-a-roa, Forest Gold, Perfect Day, Penona, Persian King, Some Fashion, and Lovelight. Boomerday took charge at the end of seven furlongs, and won by a length, two lengths between second and third. Time, 2.10. Mangamahoc .was favourite. '

The following are the acceptances for the Cup and Railway Handicap, the two principal events at the Auckland Summer Meeting at Ellerslie cm Boxing Day:—-

Railway Handicap, six furlongs.— Solfanello 9.13, Rational 9.0, Silver 1.ink,9.0, The Hawk 8.10, Listowel 8.3, Vespucci 8.0, Anomaly 8.6, Absurdum 8.6, Golden Bubble 8.3, Landslide b.l, Pavo 7.13, Mustard Pot 7.11, Cool Stimulant 7.7, Fulsome 7.3, Prince Abbey 6.13, Dovelet 6.12, Purple Spur 6.12, Shortland 6.7.

RE-HANDICAPS FOR AUCKLAND.

As a result of recent racing Mr J. J. McManemin has declared the following re-handicaps for events to be run on the opening day of the A.R.C. Summer Meeting:—Auckland Cup, Aureate 7.0; Christmas Handicap, Hepta 7.0, Prince Charleroi G. 12; Nursery Handicap, Moorland 8.0; Grafton Hurdles, Ben Bolt 9.7.

PROGRAMMES APPROVED. The following programmes were approved at this week's meeting of the District Committee:—To Kuiti Racing Club, February 11; Thames Jockey Club, February 25 and 27; Te Aroha Jockey Club, March 4 and 6; Whakalane Racing Club, March 17.
