THE RUAKURA PROPOSAL. Replying to the letter from the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, urging the establishment of a farm school or college at Ruakura State Farm, the Minister of Agriculture says it is the intention of ids Department to extend its educational work ,and in doing so full consideration will be given to the proposal outlined by the Auckland Education Board. At present the extreme stringency of finance cannot, however, be ignored in this direction, but it is fully realised that money intelligently expended on agricultural education and advancement will be money well spent.
