LADIES’ TOURNAMENT, Tho Semi-Finals. CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. The semi-finals in the ladies' golf championship were played in misty, drizzling weather at Ucretaunga this morning. Mrs Guy Williams beat Miss N. Wright, of Timaru (1920 champion), 1 up. after a hard struggle over a heavy course. Both players made mistakes, and the match was really won by the slightly superior putting of Mrs Williams, who won the first two holes and halved the third. The fourth went to Miss Wrighl, but Mrs Williams picked up on the sth. The score was all square at the 7th hole. Mrs Williams was two up at the 9th hole, halved the 10th. lost the 11th, won Hie 12th, halved tho 13lh, and lost the 14th. The 15lh was halved in 2, Mrs Williams executing a magnificent putt from the edge of the green, Miss Wright following with anotticr. The 16 th hole went to Mrs Williams, who was now 2 up, and the -17th to Miss Wright-, making the score again 1 up in favour of Mrs Williams. The last hole was halved, leaving Mrs Williams ins winner.

ln the semi-final match Miss M. Payton (Auckland) beat Miss Bell (Wellington), 3up and 2. At the 10th hole Miss Payton was 3 up, and kept the mastery to the end.

The final two rounds will be played Ic-murrow morning and afternoon.
