The first shipments of Australasian free butters are expected next week. There are small prospects of the Government prices being exceeded, and possibly they will not be equalled, owing to supplies of the lower-priced uncontrolled article almost equalling the demand. The. cheese market is uncertain. Zealand white, 100 s lo 102 s per cwt; coloured, 92s to 945. HOME MARKETS. LONDON, October G. The wheat market is dull, prices tending in buyers’ favour. Sugar: There is good demand. Granulated, 52s 3d. WOOL SALES. INCREASE IN PRICE AT ANTWERP. LONDON, October 6. At the Antwerp wool sales 10,300 bales of Australian were offered, and all sold. There was excited competition at prices 25 to 30 per cent, above the August rates. LONDON, October 7. At the Bradford wool market there was a strong tope. Prices were firm with an upward tendency.
