FIGHTING IN ABYSSINIA
THE TRIBESMEN REPULSED. THE CASUALTIES. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received October 3, 5.5 p.m. CAIRO, October 2. Details of the Nyalla (Abyssinia) fighting show that mounted infantry and police repulsed an attack by tribesmen, who reported the loss of GOO killed, including the leader of the rising, Abdullah el Saghayer. The British casualties totalled 61, including Captain Chown, of the Army Veterinary Corps, Mr McNeil!, of the Soudan Civil Service, and three other civil employees.
