(Patent Applied for) ADJUSTABLE TFAT-CUP I HOLDER Hi Illustration snows Kannoijalt ' in use. I.'- m l wmsm .:^^^f r . A Revolution in 1 V ■ on THE great fault of machine milking is that, however good your machine, teat-cups will drop off the cow's teats. They fall to the floor, continue pulsating and sucking in all kinds of dirt and filth until picked up and readjusted. It has been the common practice to endeavour to prevent this by propping up the cups with boxes, blocks, tins, etc. —a ricketty and unsatisfactory expedient at best. Now comes the " KANNOTFALL" Adjustable Teat Cup Holder (Patent applied for). iply designed and c fixed in less than five minutes. It remains in place at the bail and can be closed up out of the way in a moment. Cleanliness. —When the " Kannotfall " is used, it is absolutely impossible for the Cups to fall to the floor. Where boxes and blocks are used to prop up teat-cups, they are constantly dropping onto the floor of the shed. The pulsations of the machine continue, and all sorts of dirt and filth are sucked into the milk. Amongst other troubles, this causes what is known as "pin-hole" Cheese. One Cheese Factory Manager who saw the " Kannotfall" said that it should be mado compulsory by law to have this device fitted to every milking-machine plant, if only for sanitary reasons. In the United States all dairy-farmers are legally compelled to use some such holder. However clean sheds are kept, dirt must accumulate. Should Cups Fall ? —Some milking-machine owners have been heard to say that the cups do not fall off their cows. However, every reader will agree that this trouble is very common, and if cups_ do not drop at all, then it is sometimes an indication that there is too much pulsation, which is very injurious to the cows —many animals are ruined by it. When for any reason engine stops, all cups fall. In testa with the " Kannotfall ", when the engine ha* been stopped altogether, cups have still remained in place; no wastage of milk. Pulsation. —The " Kannotfall" allows just that degree of resilience necessary to allow pulsation without jarring. The length of the cxtending-arm •Hows " give", whilst the supporting-cord carries a spring just strong enough to permit the right degree of movement. In short, the " Kannotfall" holder pulsates in sympathy "with the milking-machine. T his free and natural pulsation saves much trouble in ■tripping the cows. Lateral Movement. —Horizonal movement is provided for by a sliding arrangement of the supporting arm. Whichever way the cow moves, the clip follows. This will be realised upon reference to the diagram. Damage To Teat-cups. —Cups falling on the hard . floor become dented and useless. This cannot happen with the " Kannotfall"—even if the cow kicks all cups off, they are held well clear of the floor. Low Price. —The price of the " Kannotfall" is so very moderate that this invention offers an improvement of inestimable value at a figure ridiculously low. Invention Protected. —The " Kannotfall " is a new invention only now placed on the market, and is fully protected. Reliability. —The simplicity of the " Kannotfall " makes it almost impossible for it to get out of order. However, if it should prove unsatisfactory in any way, the Manufacturers will send a man to investigate and adjust, or replace the machine. Demonstration* can be given in certain districts if desired—correspondence with a view to arranging such demonstrations is invited. Serves Two Bails. —The " Kannotfall '" fixed between the bails, can be swung from one to the other instantly. Thus, each fitting serves two bails -for right and left milking. Fits All Machines. —The Holder-clip is designed ■o that it accomodates the claw of any milkingThis device is so simple that as soon as you see it you wonder why it was not invented long ago. The "Kannotfall" holds the teat-cups where they belong, yet allows freedom of movement and pulsation. The cups cannot fall to the floor by the clip and keep in place even when pulsation is weak. Should a v^ the teat, it simply hangs well clear of the floor until readjusted. The value of this invention is instantly obvious to every dairy farmer—its cleanliness convenience, simplicity and efficiency are self-evident. The low price _of the "Kannotfall", should induce every owner of a milking machine in the Dominion to purchase at once.
