JAPAN'S STRIKE ENDED
SHIPYARDS TO RESUME. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) TOKIO, August 9. It is announced at Kobe that the striking shipyard workers have decided to resume work on condition that a preliminary compromise settlement, giving the workers a voice in the mechanical direction of plants, shall Ik. made the basis of further discussions.
