"Williamson, Ltd., announce a brilliant comedy season at Theatre Royal on Tuesday next. The return ot John D. O'Hara and his talented lightcomedy company is good news for play-goers The season will open with "Three Wise Fools," and this highly entertaining comedy drama will be sure to attract many old friends as well as new. Writing of the production, a well-known critic says: 'Mr John D. O'Hara repeated his excellent study of the cross-grained old banker, and his encounters with his nephew and the revelation of his many-sided nature was greatly enjoyed. Mr Arthur Cornell again succeeded as Dr Gaunt, and Mr Frederick Esmelton, who produced the piece, played excellently as the judge. Miss Dorothy Seacombe again scored heavily as Sydney Fairchild, and in addition to the recalls which she shared with the other principals received a number of floral tributes. The same compliment was paid to Margaret Sutcliffe, who was cast as Mrs Saunders, and appreciation was also shown of the work of Mr Robert Toms, as Gordon Schuyler. To reveal the story to those who have not witnessed it would be to affect enjoyment of a most charming play." The box plan opened at Paul's this morning.
