There were a considerable number of surgical operations, it was stated, in that, area each month, but the available room was absolutely unsuitable. In urging the Board to make every effort to have a hospital built at Hunlly, the Association slated that it would assist the Board in any way to attain the result. "They are going to gel a technical school here, surely the powers that be could be persuaded a hospital was more urgently required," the letter added. The secretary said that the Board's £50,000 loan was all earmarked for building at the main hospital. , As the loan had been cut down from the original figure of £75,000, the money coming would all be required. Hunlly, however, toad a credit on the books of over £2OOO. The original estimate of £15,000 was for a 12-bed hospital at iluntly. The Board resolved to write to the Association informing it that when funds became available a hospital would be erected at Iluntly.
