ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
ELDERLY LADY KILLED. AUCKLAND, Thursday. An elderly lady, Mrs G. E. Alderton of Remuera Road, was run over by a motor car in Remuera this morning. Mrs Alderton had been shopping, and was returning home by tram car. She alighted from a tram, and went round the back of the car, as a motor car, driven by Mr John M. Croshcr, of Elle'rslic, was approaching along the down -tram rails. Mrs Alderton was struck by the motor car, and sustained injuries to which she succumbed an hour later. Mrs Aiderton, who was GO years of age, was the wife of Mr Alderton, of the firm oi Mandeno Jackson.
