54,145 EMIGRATE OVERSEAS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) LONDON, August 3. Replying to a (luostion in Ihe House of Commons, Colonel Aniery, Secretary ot' the Navy, said that since Ihe Armistice Hie Government had sent exservice men and families, numbering 54.145, overseas, of whom 17,171) went to Australia and 0,075 to New Zealand. The total expenditure was £l,038,000, and was entirely borne by the Home Government.
