A startling ambush on a road, ro« suiting in a battle between racing gangs, among whom bitter feuds exist, occurred last night at Ewell, neai; Epsom. The parties involved were from! Leeds and Birmingham. The forme* were driving a motor to London, when they were charged by a motor; char-a-banc, which was waiting partly concealed in a bend. The occupants of the motor ca* were violently attacked, hammers* choppers, bottles and bricks being used. Six persons were sent to tha| hospital. The attackers re-entered char-a-banc, and drove off to Kingi ston, where they were later traced outside a public house. The police surrounded the ;pre* mises, and arrested 28. They are bo* iieved to bo citizens of Birmingham. ,
