AN INVESTITURE

BY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL. His Excellency the Governor-Gene-ral, Viscount Jellicoe, held an investiture at Government House, Auckland, last night. The investiture commenced by the presentation of letters patent of knighthood to Sir Theophilus Cooper, late Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand. Among the other recipients of honours were: —• C. and Bar to D. 5.0.; Lieut.Golonel S. S. Allen, Morrinsville. D. Lieut.-Coloncl G. Craig, Morrinsville; Lieut.-Colonel E. H. Northcroft, Hamilton; Captain H. R. Vercoe, Ghinemutu. M.G.: Mrs L. Z. Harper, Cambridge, as next-of-kin of the late SecondLieutenant N. R. Harper; Captain G. W. Horn, Waihou; Lieutenant G. T. Kellcway, Te Awamutu; Lieutenant N. V. Le Petit, Hamilton; Lieutenant E. J. McGregor, Frankton; Lieutenant E. G. Moncrief, Morrinsville; Lieutenant H. Vause, Cambridge.
