SEQUEL TO SEAMEN’S QUARREI TWO SHOTS FIRED. TIMARU, Saturday. There was a shoeing' affray at the wharf last night. William Jones, a steward on the steamer Tpcyosa, fired two shots at John Stapleton, a seanjian, wounding him on the thumb. The revolver misfired while he was attempting a third shot. The incident was the sequel to a quarrel at Newcastle. Jones was charged this morning with inflicting grevious bodily harm on Stapleton, and was remanded till Wednesday.
