LAWN TENNIS

LOWER WAIKATO ASSOCIATION. The deciding match of the Lower Waikato Tennis Association's round of matches was played on the Ngaruawahla courts on Saturday, 19th mat., between the Taupiri and family teams. After a very strenuous contest, Huntly proved the victors by nine matches to live, although on the total of games Taupiri were five in the lead. In six of the matches there was but one game difference at the finish, and in many of these "deuce" was called again and again before the deciding point was made. At the conclusion of the game the president of the Association (Mr K. Caldwell) presented the Challenge Cup 10 Dr. Culhbert (lhe captain of thi Huntly team). Housing cheers were given for the Huntly club, and the Cup being filled in the orthodox style, the health of the si es-fiil team was drunk.
