One of the latest, American eonlrlvances for the control of street traffic was given, a trial to-day a 1 Market and I George Streets intersection. JI, is a prominent iron standard, on one side "Stop," and on Die other "Go," which occupies the spot where Hie traffic constable usually stands. It is controlled by a handle by the constable.
