The home learn scored IG7, of which Bishop contributed HI and Cave 33. Australia, in their (Irs! innings, made 405. Hansford retired) 158, Waddy (79), Lampard (59 not out) being the best scorers. At the call of time Hawke's Hay had lost six wickets for 135. Tin' match thus ended in a draw.
