LAWN TENNIS
WAIKATO ASSOCIATION FORMED. At, a meeting of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, held in Wellington, lasl night, the application of lb,' Waikato Lawn Tennis Associalion for affiliation was considered, and Waikato was raised lo the status of an affiliated association by thirty-one votes I" twelve. This is the issue of a struggle with the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association, which has been waging some eight years. it will be remembered that on the previous occasion, some seven years ago. affiliation was granted bul was rescinded at a subsequent meeting through the efforts of the Auckland association. The committee In Hamilton is to be congratulated >on the success which has rewarded its efforts.
