THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL
SHORT STAY AT FRANKTON. OFFICIAL VISIT LATER. His Worship the Mayor (Mr J. R. Fow) has received the following communication from Captain Curtis (private secretary to His Excellency the Gover-Dor-Gencral, Viscount Jellieoc) : "I have the honour to inform you that His Excellency will pass the night of Friday next, the 25th inst.. on the viceregal car at Frankton Junction, arriving there from Rotorua late in the evening, and leaving the following morning, in order to attend the Franklin Show at Pukekohe. I am directed lo say that His Excellency greatly regrets that his engagements prevent his paying a visit to Hamilton on this occasion, and to add that he proposes to do so before returning to Wellington for the winter."
