FOR ANGLO-SAXON RAGE TWO NOTABLE EXCEPTIONS. STATEMENT BY THE PREMIER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday. The Prime Minister, in Hie course of a speech last evening, at a farewell dinner tendered him by Hie Reform parly, briefly touched on Hie new immigration law. Some countries, lie said, would shortly bo exempted from the existing restrictions, lie was not going lo say which countries, but would say, for instance, the United Stales, a British speaking race. Again he would not like to see Franco, which had stood by the Empire so well, excluded. However, the Act, with exemptions, was going to do more than any previous measure lo keep Now Zealand for the Anglo-Saxon race.
