The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken at 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner:— ✓ Thermometer. ! Saturday 81 49 Monday 78 50 Barome\er. Monday 29.95 Tuesday 29.85 Yesterday was fair during the greater part of the day. Rain commenced to fall early this morning. Winds were mostly northerly; The barqmeter continues to fall, with decreasing air pressure. The indications arc that unsettled weather will continue to-day, with brisk winds from, a northerly direction, probably fair tomorrow, with winds changing to a southerly direction. The Weather Bureau wires: The Indications are for northerly winds strong to gale and backing by west to south. 'I he weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Heavy rain Is to be expected and the weather will probably become colder. Barometer falling, but rising shortly.
